An interesting challenge to do:
1. Find out the population size where you live: my county in 2018 was 21,485.
2. Find out how many churches there are in that area (for comparison sake, don't leave any out; just assume that all churches actually preach the Gospel): my county has 45 that I've found.
3. Divide the population by the number of churches (this gives you the average size of congregation, if all people in the area were saved and attending church as part of their fellowshipping with believers): this means an average congregation would be 477.444.
4. Does the average church in the area have that many people as members, let alone attendees? This is harder to find out, but a quick estimate from size of building and parking lot, numbers seen at church; or, just call up the churches and ask: I can easily say the answer is no.
